Problem With The Wildcat

Recently I saw the unveiling of the Jets new Wild Cat option with Tim Tebow at the helm. It didn’t get a lot of yards, but it did make the defense pause and that’s the best thing. It makes defenders wondering if Tebow is going to hand it off or is he going to run it himself.

My problem isn’t with Tebow, it’s with Sanchez. For some odd reason they have Sanchez lined up as a wide receiver. We know he won’t get the ball. It’s too much of a risk. He might get injured and then you’re stuck with Tebow (no offense) who can’t throw consistently.

Do we really want this man as a wide receiver? I wouldn’t. Not because of the video, because if he is injured then the Jets are in trouble. I think the Wild Cat will work and be effective, but having Sanchez there is a risk. It’s also subtracting 1 player that Tebow isn’t going to throw it too. It doesn’t make any sense, but I think the Jets will realize that sooner or later.
