Family Guy vs. The Simpsons

I wanted to have a matchup about 2 of the best cartoon comedy show on TV. Both are amazing, funny and can go on for decades more, but only 1 can be called the best.

Family Guy tries to see how far they can push the FCC. I think the show is great, but sometimes it gets annoying. In fact a lot of times the show has sketches that are entirely too long. A lot of the times it causes people to get annoyed and for the skit to just get to the point. They put a Conrad Twitty song in the middle of the episode. It was the whole song and it was a waste of time.

The funniest part of this show is the cut away and the random stuff Peter does. The show has turned into some plot, which usually changes dramatically throughout the episode, a cut away here and there that are usually hysterical, and funny thing Peter does or says.

The Simpsons on the other hand doesn’t try too hard to be funny. The funniest parts are the plots. The show rarely has a cut away. So every funny part is situational and doesn’t have to find random ways to entertain you.

Each character, even the baby, has relevance in the episode. In Family Guy, the character Meg is nonexistent and Chris has even less use. They subtracted when they should’ve found a way to incorporate them into their own episodes.

The Simpsons is the better show by far. Maybe not as popular, because Family Guy has the hysterical cut aways that has You Tube exploding with views. You never get bored watching a Simpsons episode. That is why I would rather watch the Simpsons over Family Guy also the Simpsons movie was far better than any Family Guy movie.
