The Most Shocking Ending Ever

I think the movie “Remember Me” is highly underrated. It is incredibly compelling and is one of those movies that you can watch over and over again. It’s rare that I really enjoy a movie like this. It’s a typical love story. Guy from a broken family likes a girl with an overprotective father. But somehow this movie finds a way to separate itself from similar movies in that genre.

Robert Pattinson was astounding to say the least. After seeing him in those Twilight movies, I didn’t know such a performance existed within him. We see scene after scene where he is put in different situations and performs them with such elegance.

When he has to be funny, he’s hysterical. When he has to be serious, you don’t say a word. And when he is in a heartbreaking scene you just want to cry. I didn’t cry at the end, but I felt like I was going to.

The ending scene is why I wrote this. To sum up the movie, Robert finds a way to solve a multitude of problems. He falls in love with a woman, mends a relationship with him and his father, gets his girlfriend’s father to like him, stands up for his sister and slowly helps his mother come to coping with the suicide of his brother.

So he does EVERYTHING that we could expect from the hero of the story. And how do they reward him? With an ending like this. He goes to New York City to visit his father at work. His father is running late so Robert goes up to his office. And this this happens.

Now THAT is how you end a movie! I give it a 5/5. This movie was beautiful to say the least and a must see.
