I think realistically the Big Bang Theory has about 3 season left. But maybe a handful of episodes with actual significance. I can already see the show on the downswing and now it’s time to start planning for the ending. I had an idea of where this show is going and I think it’s a pretty solid ending that will bring the show full circle.
Raj is the only character that has a simple ending. He finds a woman who he is happy with, but his storyline isn’t the make or break of the final seasons. The same for Howard and Bernadette. The only thing for these three characters is to continue on their paths.
Howard’s mother may die just to give him some extra screen moments and make his character carry a few episodes. Maybe Bernadette gets pregnant, but I hope not.
Penny needs to get a movie role. The writers need to get her back to acting and auditioning for parts. Right now Penny is working at a job with Bernadette and it’s not really making the story move. It looks to be a more settling role for her character and they need to start spicing it up. When Penny gets a movie role, I can see Leonard going with her for the filming of it.
The KEY is Sheldon and Amy. I can see Amy getting pregnant the first time they have sex. From the emergence of Amy’s character, Sheldon has been making changes in his life. Now they are a couple and making progress.
Eventually they will have sex and when they do it will be a perfect scenario for Sheldon to move in with Amy. Leonard has to move out with Penny when they get married. So what better way to make sure that Leonard and Sheldon have to stop becoming roommates than a child.
Maybe a tearful ending where Leonard and Sheldon are in the delivery room. Sheldon’s of course freaking out as usual because he’s in a hospital and Leonard is trying to keep him calm. They talk a bit before the nurse asks Sheldon to come see his child and he gives Leonard a big hug and says “Thank you,”.
This is an idea that can work. The writers are wasting too much time with no important storylines like the guys buying a dinner table. Just a waste of time. The show is starting to go stale quickly and they need to find some way to make things better. Yes it will still be a hit, but a hit that is mostly a few funny parts an episode and that’s it.
